My name is Jodie. I’ve been writing stories for most of my life. It all started when I wrote a short story for the first time in Grade 3 (about a genie in a bottle) and I’ve been writing stories ever since.

I’m what you’d call a life-long learner, always eager to study and learn new skills. I have a Bachelor of Education and Master in Human Nutrition and have studied copywriting through the Australian Writers Centre. That’s not where my education story ends though. I’ll never stop studying to improve my writing and learn new skills.

As a grown up I’ve worked in a range of roles, many of them in the education space. I’m one of those people who always knew they wanted to be a writer but took a little detour in getting there.

Now, whether I’m writing a 500 word blog post for your business or working on a 80 000 word fiction manuscript for myself, I’m all in. Making something out of words is what I do best.

I now live in Brisbane with my husband Todd and two sons, Zac and Harry.

In my spare time you’ll find me crocheting, reading, drinking red wine or rolling out my yoga mat.
